Family picnic: Saturday, September 12
Picnic is 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Amelia Earhart Park, shelter 7. Bring the kids. The local is covering burgers, dogs, and water.
- Sign the shift board in the hall by September 5 if you can work the grill or coolers
- No glass, no department vehicles in the park lot

Open enrollment is September 8–19
Medical, dental, and vision elections run September 8 through 19. Drop paperwork at the hall or scan it to the secretary.
Benefits office hours are Friday, September 18, 0900–1200 if you want a walkthrough of the Surest plan and vision summary.

C-shift steward still open
The grievance committee needs a C-shift steward. If you have been off probation for a year and can take a call on your shift, talk to the VP before the September meeting.

New-hire packets are in the hall
Orientation packets for the August academy class are on the table by the office. Take one if you are riding with a probationary firefighter this tour.
Ask in the app can pull the CBA, civil service rules, and the pay table if they have questions between meetings.

Station 2 kitchen fund
Station 2 is replacing the range. The e-board authorized $1,200 from the station fund. Remaining cost is being split by the members assigned there — see Lt. Cole if you ride 2.

The regular membership meeting of IAFF Local 0000 was called to order at 1904 hours on August 6, 2026 at the union hall by President Haddad. A quorum was present.
Roll Call / Attendance
Officers Present: President Haddad, Vice President Cole, Secretary Rivera, Treasurer Nguyen, Trustee Brooks.
Approval of Previous Minutes
- Motion: To approve the minutes of the July 9, 2026 meeting as printed. Moved by Ortiz, seconded by Vega. Motion carried.
Officer and Committee Reports
President Haddad reported. Vice President Cole reported for the grievance committee. Treasurer Nguyen reported the station-fund balance. Trustee Brooks reported for the picnic committee.

- Motion: To hold the family picnic on September 12, 2026 at Amelia Earhart Park, shelter 7, with the local covering food and water. Moved by Brooks, seconded by Santos. Motion carried.
