HOW TO USE THIS TABLE
- Steps advance annually within a range; the top three steps of each range are the 10-, 15-, and 20-year special longevity rates.
- On promotion, step placement follows the mapping table in Article 50, Section 5 (an employee may regress a step in the new range).
- Hourly base pay: divide bi-weekly base by the scheduled bi-weekly hours (48-hour week = 96 hours bi-weekly; 40-hour = 80; 37.5-hour = 75), per the work schedules in Article 15.
- Certification/assignment supplements (e.g., paramedic and ALS unit pay under Article 45) are calculated on top of base pay.
